The Music Here's a little more info. about the MB music if you're a newbie and not familiar with them Suteki Na Serenade, Kareha Iro no Crescendo, and Yoake no Etude These are the first, second and third ending songs. All of them are great songs to download. But I've mentioned it many times, the second is the best. ^_^ I think for me, watching the whole series, the ending songs of MB kind of signifies how the characters are maturing and progressing. For one thing, in the first season, all of the characters were still innocent and immature. They have no idea how to deal with love and how they should react to the new feelings they are having especially on Miki's part and maybe even Ginta's also, in the beginning. So Suteki Na Serenade is a perfect song. Because it's a song that's very sweet and innocent.. Just read the english lyrics and you'll see what I mean. As the second season came along, most of all the characters began to grow up. They are all in love with the right people they should be in love with (even Satoshi and Meiko) and they are all very happy. So Kahera Iro no Crescendo fits right in because of the mood. Love is in the Autumn air and so a love song is perfect. Miki and You's love for each other is growing, as well as everyone else's. Most of all the episodes of the second season has a romantic theme to it. It's all about LOVE. (And it's all very shoujo...^_^) Yoake no Etude, the third season ending song is a little more grown up and has a more mature feel to it. I haven't gotten around to write down the English translations off of the shows yet, but I will. It's also a love song. A love song that pertains to a long distance love. That even though they are apart from each other, they'll always be together. Isn't it just peferfect for Miki and You? It's this season where everyone grows up and matures realizing all the BAKA stuff they had done in the past and learning from it. All of them finally began to settle down and everything is calm in the MB world. Yoake No Etude or "Etude of Dawn" is a perfect song. Egao Ni Aitai As seen in the lyrics page, Egao Ni Aitai is the opening song. The opening of MB is a big spoiler because it shows who will be together in the end. In the first and second season, it shows the pairings of Miki and You, Meiko and Satoshi and Ginta and Arimi. Why Satoshi is there and not Shinichi, I have no idea. Maybe because it'll look really odd that a 25 year old man is hanging around 17 and 18 year olds. It also shows Miki still in the middle of her You or Ginta dilema. In the third season, the opening sequence was changed. Since You went to America, the opening song shows Miki and You, Kei, Anju, and the Americans in New York. Very cool. My only disappointment about it was, that they didn't show the rest of the Japanese kids. They're important too aren't they? Where's Ginta and Satoshi and even Suzu? Oh well. It's still cool. Egao is a nice and happy song. Although, I don't think it translates very well in English because it just reads funny and awkward. Do You Love Me? All of the 3 established couples of MB (a.k.a. M&Y, G&A, and Meiko and Shinichi), all have duets together in the MB soundtrack. Meiko and Shinichi's song is OK. For all you Sailor Moon fans out there, just think "You're Just My Love" The song by Usagi and Mamoru. Furuya-san's voice as Shinichi and his voice as Mamoru is a little different from each other but the singing voice is the same. Meiko's voice is OK also. Miki and You's song is much better of course, since Kouda-san and Okiayu-san have more refined voices. You's voice is deep and sexy ^_^ while Miki's is soft and dreamy ^_^. A perfect combination. I'm just going to be biased though but I just LOVE Ginta and Arimi's song. So that's why I chose "Do You Love Me?" to be one of the MP3's here. So Kanemaru-san's singing voice isn't that perfect ^_^ but I like it and it goes well with Hisakawa-san's cute voice (just think Sailor Mercury). Rain Rain is one of my favorite songs. And You sings it so well. Ahh... It's very beautiful. It has the same melody as Kareha Iro no Crescendo. The little keyboard solo is suppousedly Kei playing which makes it even better. ^_~ Just listen to it. It's awesome. Moment Ahhh... another song by the great Kouda-san. This is the insert song that usually plays in almost every MB episode whenever something happy or exciting happens. And you'll never tire of it because everytime the song is inserted it just fits. It never fails to make you smile. It just plays at the right moment ~very cute. I love it too. |
