Kijima Takuji is You's boss at the Junk Jungle (There's a pic of him in the "Triangle" page, if you don't know what he looks like). He went to school with Ryouko and Shinichi at Toryo High School and is a year older than them. So the two sometimes call him "Sempai".

He's a very nice guy that gives advice to almost everyone. And was even nice enough to Rokutanda Tsutomu, giving him a prize even when he lost out on the clothes selling competition.

Back in the 80's, while still in high-school, He, Ryouko and Shinichi were friends and still are. Ryouko was his girlfriend for some time but he realized sadly that she had feelings for Shinichi. And yes, of course he was hurt but he took it like a man. Then he said good bye to her, with no looking back because his parents were transferred to America and he had to move. He later sent a letter to Ryouko telling her to be happy with Namura.

Meanwhile, before he left to go to America, there was a girl named Rei that was interested in him but was afraid to tell him face to face. So she placed her Toryo medallion in his brief case so he'll know that someone was thinking about him all this time.... 10 years later in New York, Takuji just happened to bump into someone in the street and accidentally dropped the Toryo Medallion he'd been holding on to for so long. That someone he bumped into was Rei of course and she eventually became his wife.

Takuji is a very caring friend who still cares very much for Ryouko and was always encouraging her to always say what's in her heart, especially when it came to Shinichi. He's very sweet to her. I really like their friendship. It's probably like what Miki's and Ginta's relationship might be like in the future.
