Episode 4: Ginta no Kokuhaku. Omae Wo aitsuni watasanai!
"Ginta's Confession: I won't let him have her!"

At night, Miki is thinking about Ginta's kiss in her bedroom and says that no one should kiss like that unless they love the other person. "But Ginta doesn't love me...What he did, I can't forgive."

In the morning, Miki doesn't want to go to school because she knows that she has to face Ginta. She'll be alone with him again because they have clean up duty after school. You, however manages to pursuade her to come.

At Toryo, Ginta wonders if Miki would show up for school. Meiko comes to him and asks him if he knows where she is...but they both see her and You approach them. Miki leaves quickly so she doesn't have to face Ginta at all and gives Meiko the exhange diary where she reveals to Meiko, the whole episode between her and Ginta that happened yesterday.

As the bell rings for the end of classes, Miki leaves quickly. Ginta tries to run after her and wants to talk to her but Miki doesn't want to hear it. "Don't even start to talk to me!" she says and runs again.

You comes to Ginta's side, who is hurt by her words. You asks Ginta if he and Miki had a fight, but Ginta just pushes him away and leaves.

Miki is in her room, again thinking about the kiss. You knocks in her room and asks her to go out with him. She is reluctant at first but he comes inside her room and pulls her up. On his bike, he takes her to a place underneath a near by bridge where there's a very beautiful view of the ocean. Miki starts to brighten up and she watches him skip rocks. She tries it as well, but is very unsuccessful. Miki gets frustrated big time but You teaches her how. This time, she is successful and cheers for joy.

On their way home, she asks where You had found such a beautiful place.

You: I explored the neighborhood right after we moved in. When I feel bad, I come here and it helps me to feel better.

Miki is somewhat surprised that You actually worries about something and she starts to laugh, but she realizes that he had taken her there to help her cheer up.

At the house, Miki leaves her jet memo robot in You's room. He played it and it's Miki, saying. "Arigato, You..." You gives it back to her and places it on her doorknob. Miki plays it back. "Let's keep this place a secret, OK?" You says. she goes to her desk and almost has this dreamy happy look on her face. And she plays back the memo again to hear his message.

The next day, as the last bell rings, Miki packs her bag and looks at her memo robot and smiles to herself. She looks back and see Ginta staring at her. And again, she leaves class running. Ginta goes after her and at the gate, she sees Arimi who is waiting for You.

Ginta comes running and asks her to wait. And as Ginta approaches them, she takes Arimi by the arm. And walks away from the confused looking Ginta. She pretends that Arimi is a long time companion she hasn't seen in a very long time.

Arimi is also confused. "What's going on? I'm waiting for You!"
Miki: Shhh! Please come with me.
Ginta is still calling out her name but Miki still holding onto Arimi's arm, keeps walking. He wonders who the girl was and looks at the ground. There, he sees Miki's memo robot and picks it up. As he walk back to school again, he accidentally presses the button and Ginta hears You's message. Ginta get mad.

Miki is still walking with Arimi arm in arm, still afraid that Ginta might be following. But as soon as she thought it was safe she lets go of Arimi and thanks her. Miki walks home. But Arimi stops her. "It's not fair to just leave me here." She says. "You dragged me here and didn't even ask if I wanted to come....So let's have some tea...I want to talk to you."

At the cafe, Arimi asks who the boy was and if Miki was in some kind of trouble but Miki tells her that she just had a bad argument with him. She asks Arimi why she was waiting for You and if they were dating again. Armi wanted to know what You said about her and Miki that You just mentioned that Arimi was just an old girlfriend. Arimi said that she'll tell her what really happened.

Arimi: You and I were in different classes but were both on the commitee of the sports festival....We had never spoken before. I knew who he was, You is rather noticable but I had no speacial interest in him...But after I finally spoke to him, I realized I liked him a lot. Being with him...I knew that he was the one for me. So soon after that, I told him so...
(flashback)
You: Suzuki, you certainly won't have any problem finding a man. You don't need me.
Arimi: That's not true. I want to be with you.
You: That's nice of you to say but...
Together: I don't want to go out with anyone right now."
You (surprised):Eh???
Arimi:So you really are saying that to everyone...
You: Why ask if you already know?
Arimi: I'm convinced that the two of us will go together well. Why don't you try it out for three months. If you don't want me to as your girlfriend after 3 months, I'll give up...

You agrees eventually and in those three months, they had a lot of fun. But after...

You: You were a good companion but..I can't think of you as more than just a friend. I'm sorry.
Arimi starts to cry and starts to run away. You grabs her arm.
Arimi: In your whole like, you'll never be normal when in comes to love.
You watches her run away..."You might be right"...

After Arimi tells Miki the story, she also gets the picture that Miki also likes You. "You like him too? But I won't give up..."

Miki is walking home and is thinking about what Arimi had just said. She sees Ginta waiting for her in fron of the house. She tells him to get out of the way but he wouldn't.

Ginta tells Miki that what happened in Jr. High was also her fault. That she had put the love letter inside the wrong magazine and he couldn't stop the other guy from reading it. He tells her that in reality, he was happy to get it.

Miki: But you said that you didn't have any special feelings for me.
Ginta: That's not true...You probably didn't notice but you were pretty popular with the men in class.
Miki is surprised. "Huh?"
Ginta: You had a cheerful smile, lots of energy...so we decided that none of us would be the first to ask you out. I didn't have enough courage to go against them so I lied...I knew that hurting you so much would mean the end of our friendship. I knew that cutting my hair like that wouldn't make up for what happened and realized that our relationship was over... So I gave up my plans about you. Recently, we've been able to talk like the old days and I thought...that was enough...I've always really LOVED you..."

Though with You showing up, Ginta realized that he also didn't want You to have her.
