1)
Miki is a much STRONGER character than she was in the anime. Some
people who hate her in the anime, would like her manga version very
much. |
2)
The Miki and Kei relationship did not exist. He does love her and
he does leave for awhile to be more like a "man" but other
than that, nothing else happened.(I don't think she would have agreed
to go out with him in the first place. Yoshizumi's Miki was not "needy") |
3)
Suzu did not kiss You nor did she want him for herself. She instead
tries to break up Miki and You because she wants Meiko and You together.
Because both are very "beautiful" people. |
4)
Ryouko, Anju, the Americans, Rei, Akira, and Yayoi does not exist.
So the "square" between Satoshi, Ryouko, Shinichi and Meiko
does not exist. Nor the "Triangle" of Kijima, Shinichi and
Ryouko. |
5)
Arimi did not kiss You in front of everyone at Toryo. Her first kiss
was Ginta ^_^. She revealed this when she and Ginta were at a fast
food place (Think ep. #45), where Ginta told her that he loved her.
When she told him that she felt the same way, he kissed her. She's
a bit mad because it was her fist kiss and the moment wasn't romantic
at all. Ginta's sorry but was happy cause he was her fist kiss and
that she didn't kiss Matsuura. Arimi turns to him and asks if he ever
kissed Miki. Reluctantly, nervously, he says yes. Arimi is mad again
but she turns to him, grabs his shoulders and kisses him. She's OK
now because she kissed Ginta twice and now she's a head of Miki. (How
cute) |
6)
You does not go to America obviously. He fleds to Kyoto University
instead when he found out that he and Miki might be brother and sister. |
7)
All of the Characters are a year older than they are in the anime.
The first time You and Miki met, they were both in the tenth grade.
By the time Miki started working at Bobson's Ice Cream Shop they were already in
their Sr. Year. |
8)
Meiko's story was not entered in the contest by Satoshi. Meiko was
the one who entered it herself. The subject of her story is also different
in the Manga. |
9)
Satoshi and You were not there when Miki decided that Meiko should
go to Hiroshima to see Shinichi. |
10)
The Toryo medallion, the exchange diary, the voice memo robot, the
jet memo, the dialer, etc.. Does not exist in the manga. Instead of the medallion
that Miki lost and Kei had kept for a while, it was a bracelet that
You had given her. |
11)
Miki never breaks up with You. Except if you count the scene when
You confronts her about the bracelet. |
12)
When Miki goes to Kyoto to tell You that she still loves him, You
tells her that he doesn't love her anymore and that he has a girlfriend.
Miki quietly accepts it and goes back home. ~It's better for me not
to spoil it. Read manga #8. It's very emotional. Especially the KISS
in the hotel. |
13)
When they confront the parents about their relationship and that they
know they are brother and sister, the parents do not take it lightly
like they did in the anime. They are very serious. Youji even slapped
You for thinking that he wasn't his father for most of his life. |
14)
Miki and You did not get married in the end. Instead they go to Hawaii
with their parents. |
15)
Meiko and Shinichi's reception was not at Toryo. Nor was there a ceremony. They just got married by a judge instead, meaning that they entered their names in the family registry. |
16)
Rumi, instead of Chiyako is the one that works at a cosmetics company.
~The parents' story is also explained in the manga and not in the
anime. |
17)
Tsutomu is actually less annoying in the manga. Maybe because he is
seen less often? But the cousins' fight on the hills, where Rokutanda
finally gave up on Arimi and gave her to Ginta didn't happen either.
Instead both Ginta and Arimi go to Tsutomu's house and they talk to
him about the situation and their relationship. ~As you can see, they
are more mature in the manga also. |
18)
Kei and Suzu hardly interact with each other until the very end. |
19)
The Fashions are alot better too ^_^. All the girls are very stylish.
And Suzu wears glasses. She looks really cute, I have to say. |
20)
There are more differences but I spoiled it enough for you all, so
just read the translations I tell you. You won't regret it. |
