Goes to Kyoto for Architecture but to mostly "forget" about Miki after he finds the picture of their parents. Loves Koishikawa Miki.

Akizuki Meiko
Birthdate: October 28, 1976
School: Toryo High School
She, Miki and Ginta have known each other since Jr. High. She was pursued by Satoshi in high school and is a good writer. She later marries her sensei and lives with him in Hiroshima... Is thinking about going to Hiroshima University. Miki's closest friend. Helps Miki go through many difficulties.

Suou Ginta
Birthdate: April 10, 1977
School: Toryo High School, Toryo University
Is your average high school and college student and had known Meiko and Miki since Jr. High. Used to love Miki. Loves Arimi. Also great at tennis.

Suzuki Arimi

Miwa Satoshi

Was in love with Meiko and encouraged her to write. His father is Miwa Yoshimitzu, Chiyako's old boss. He and You thought they were brothers in the beginning. He's You's closest friend and is always there for him, just like Meiko is with Miki.

Tsuchiya Kei

Was in love with Miki, who encouraged him to go back to school and play the piano again. Shed his "spoiled brat, sulky" demeanor after Miki had set him straight. A VERY talented pianist. Might have a relationship with Suzu.

Sakuma Suzu

Goes to an unnamed Jr. High and High School. Is a famous model and loves "beautiful" things. At first wanted to break up Miki and You right after she saw Miki "hugging" Kei. Wanted You to be with Meiko because they are "beautiful". Might have a relationship with Kei.

Rokutanda Tsutomu

Is Ginta's cousin who loved Arimi since grade school. A bit annoying but not as annoying as in the anime. Gave Ginta the Wimbeldon pin which Ginta eventually gave to Miki.

Namura Shinichi
Astrological Sign: Pisces b.1968
Taught at Toryo High School and fell in love with Meiko when they met by chance in Toryo's Library. They are 8 years apart and caused a scandal when the school found out about their relationship. Eventually goes to Hiroshima to help with his family's business. Eventually marries Meiko.

Matsuura-Koishikawa Rumi, Matsuura Youji, Koishikawa-Matsuura Chiyako, and Koishikawa Jin
The parents/step parents of Miki and You. As Miki says, they lack common sense. They are very fun though. Were friends in college and met again in Hawaii.

Eisaku
Is Chiyako's younger brother who has twins. They come to stay with the Koishikawa/Matsuura household for a short visit. Though Chiyako thinks of him as a brother, he is really her cousin. He tells You that Chiyako was his first love. You thinks that Eisaku is his father.
