Miki and You "Unlike me, you're honest and pure. You give everything your all." ~ You "You mean, I'm 'uncomplicated'"~Miki "It's why I love you"~You Miki and You... What can I say? Through all the obstacles, their love remained strong. Through all of Miki's insecurities and You's lack of emotion early in the series, they still remained true and always in love with each other. Maybe it's just me, but I just didn't like the fact that Miki had done what she had done when You went to America. He told her to wait for him after all. Because he says that she is all he has. Yet she broke up with him because he couldn't be with her and so she went to another guy. She was weak yes (which made me pissed off at first because of her total lack of understanding) but she made up for it later on. I don't know if their love would have lasted if their story was reality because one's overly jealous and insecure and the other, well, he just hides his feelings too much. Even though they have imperfections in their relationship, it is also very much sweet and loving. You truly understands his girlfriend (well, sometimes anyway). He usually knows the right thing to say to cheer her up and his always teasing her is also very sweet (after all, he is the ladies man isn't he?). His lonliness for Miki was shown very much so when he was in New York. And you really feel for him. I like how he defended Miki when Jinny confronted him. But like Miki's character, I also like them better in the Manga. Their relationship is much more realistic in writing and believable and is much more mature at least. Especially Miki's side of the relationship. There are a lot that happens in the anime though that you just can't help but feel happy for this couple. You can't help but like them. There are so many moments that they share that can either make you cry or smile or break your heart... You crying on Miki's shoulder, their kiss on the beach, them holding hands without even knowing it ^_^ (my favorite moment), their kiss in the waterfall, the Prom... There are so much more I can't list it all. And I won't spoil it for you. Because it's this couple that Marmalade Boy is focused on so I can't possibly tell you their story like I had done to the others on this section. Or else it would take forever. ^_^
