The Parents of Miki and You who are sometimes lacking in brain cells. They forget a lot and sometimes act less mature than their own children. But they are very funny. They all adore Michael and they like doing things that always make Miki pissed off or surprised or overreact. But then again, almost everything makes Miki that way.

I don't think the anime revealed what their jobs are except that Chiyako works for a cosmetics company. I know that in the manga, Youji is a business man and Jin is a bank clerk. Rumi... in the manga works in the cosmetics company and Chiyako works at a beer company.

Rumi is a VERY bad cook and Miki always finds a way to insult her with that. Chiyako is a much better cook, I suppose and I think is much more understanding than Rumi, Jin and Youji. I always see her comforting and making Miki feel happy. Youji is pretty cool but he really doesn't talk as much as the other three. He's kinda cute for a Dad. I think Jin's the leader of the group. Whenever the four are together, It's always Jin that's usually talking.

The parents are pretty silly and they are careless and they do things that really DO lack common sense. But they crack me up. I wouldn't mind having parents like them because they are sooo unconventional.

One of my favorite episodes of the parents was when the parents, plus Miki and You were at the Principal's office and the Principal asked who You's parents were, all four of them answered. And when he asked who Miki's parents were, again, all four of them answered. That was an "Awww" moment if I do say so.
