Episode #12: Smash! You to Ginta docchi Mo Sucki

"Smash! You and Ginta. I love them both."

In Miki's room, she is writing to Meiko in their exchange diary. She says that their parents would be back tomorrow and that spending time with You was fun but...she thinks about what Ginta had said to her. She doesn't know how to face him.

Miki looks around the classroom to see if Ginta's there because she REALLY doesn't want to see him. She is startled when Ginta calls to her from behind and says 'Hi'. She thinks about Ginta saying that he loves her and Miki doesn't want to hear it. She runs down the stairs with Ginta trying to catch up with her. She runs into Meiko and You making them drop the papers they were holding. They wonder what's wrong with her and the both of them turn to see Ginta standing by the stairs.

In the outside cafeteria, Meiko reads the diary and Miki tells her all about what happened. Then Miki is called to the teacher's office by Ryouko who tells her that she's going to be in a tennis challenge match. Miki is stunned. She also tells her that it would be against Sagaki Academy. And she thinks about Arimi and what Ginta had said again. She wonders how Arimi would feel. She tells herself that she's going to panic because of the match and Ginta. Miki walks to tennis practice where she meets Ginta. She was about to run away again but Ginta tells her not to.

Miki is deeply thinking about her conversation with Ginta in the tennis court, where he tells her he wants an answer. Miki tells him after the tennis match, she'll give it to him because she just needs more time. She's in the the kitchen pouring coffee in a cup and because she was so distracted, the coffee spills all over the counter. She gives it to You and You tells her that her coffee isn't good either.

Miki solemnly apologizes. You asks if anything was bothering her but she says no, even though it clearly shows. Then, to save the silence, the parents come home. Miki welcomes them home and the parents are so happy that they drag Miki and You to the living room to tell them all about their vacation. Miki and You look a little irritated and Rumi asks if they're listening. Miki says 'yes' happily but silently she says that, "You don't know how much I'm suffering because of Ginta." The parents are still in the love mode. Miki and You leave the scene.

As they are walking up to their rooms, You suggests to her that she should go to Meiko's house. He tells her that though he doesn't know what's happening with Ginta, he knows that she needs a break and that the diary and the voice memo just wouldn't do. That TALKING to the person is much better. Miki says her usual, "You...."

Miki's at Meiko's house, sleeping over. She apologizes to Meiko for coming so late. Meiko says it's OK because her parents weren't home and, "besides, Matsuura-kun asked me to take good care of you." Miki blushes. "He did?" Meiko smiles at her, saying that they have a lot of time to talk. They talk about Ginta and Meiko tells her that she's hurting Ginta because she's always running away from him and not making a decision. Miki starts to cry because she can't choose between them. And she knows that Meiko is right. Meiko comforts her and dries her tears away. They sleep peacefully on Meiko's bed.

The next day at school, Miki and Meiko are going up the steps together and they encounter Ginta. Ginta approaches them with his usual hot streak in his eyes and grabs Miki's shoulders. Miki's afraid what he might do and Meiko's telling him not to be so violent but to her surprise all he really wanted was to train Miki for the competition. He doesn't want to let her lose. Miki and Meiko's eyes turn into dots. "What?" Ginta looks away and asks if it's too much trouble. Miki with a smile says, "not at all." Ginta gives her a bright smile too.

At the tennis court, Ginta and Miki are practicing hard. Namura and Ryouko watch them from a distance and are astonished that they were actually practicing in the morning. Miki says to herself that Ginta's a "little pushy... but that's how he shows his affection." Meiko and You also watch them with smiles.

Later, Miki is in the house watching a tennis game on TV for "image training". You teases her by saying something about not thinking so hard about the competition, "since tomorrow is going to be the first and last day you're going to be on the spotlight..." he tells her that she should get a new tennis outfit. Miki gets angry and tells him that he's rude for saying such things. But You drags her anyway to go shopping. Miki gets all happy at a tennis shop, calling everything "KAWAII". You's sweat drops just watching her. But they have a great time with him teasing her more just for fun of course. As they walk home, You says that now he knows she's relaxed so he knows she won't lose. Miki is affected by this. She smiles at him because now she knows that he took her shopping so she wouldn't be so tense.

At the tennis tournament, a large crowd is gathering. Meiko, Ginta, and You are there cheering Miki on. Ginta reminds her from behind the fence, what he taught her rather loudly. Miki gets embarrassed because he's so loud.

But what would a tennis competition be at Sagaki Academy without Rokutanda again bothering the living daylights out of Ginta and everyone. He tells Ginta that he wouldn't have a chance at winning because he too help train the girl from Sagaki. He and Ginta start to argue again and fight. The girls from Segaki notice how cute You is and they all run to him asking if he has a girlfriend (Why don't they notice how cute Ginta is too? And Rokutanda does look good since he had the crew cut..Oh well..) Miki watches the commotion, not noticing a tennis ball aiming for her and it eventually hits her on the head.

The tennis match starts. Ginta cheers Miki on while Rokutanda yells at his ally that if she loses she has to shave her head... In a classroom., a girl runs up to Arimi saying that she should watch the tennis tournament because a cute boy from Toryo is there. Arimi automatically knows who that is and she comes running towards Ginta and You calling their names. Arimi clings to Ginta making Rokutanda pissed. Miki's watching this, distracted again. She thinks about what Ginta had said to her and wonders how Arimi would feel because it looked like she really does "care" for him. And because Miki was thinking too much, she allowed Sagaki to steal a point. Ginta yells at her to get focused and be relaxed. Miki immediately gets going. Toryo wins! Ginta is so happy he hugs You, who tries to pull away from him.

Meiko, You, Miki, and Ginta along with Arimi and Rokutanda are waiting for the blue light so they could cross the street. Ginta gives Miki "encouraging" and "congratulatory" words in his own Ginta way. Meiko whispers in her ear that now she can finally tell Ginta her decision.

As they cross the street, Arimi slips her had through Ginta's arm. She invites him slyly to go to her place. Again, Rokutanda gets pissed off. Arimi yells at him calling him a "Pain in the ASS" She clings to Ginta trying to get him to go the other way. Ginta stops in the middle of the crosswalk, looking at Miki who's looking at him. "But..I..." He says sadly. Arimi assures him that it's OK and they walk off the other way. You and Meiko call out to Miki from the other side of the street, telling her to hurry. Miki can't decide. She looks at Ginta who is walking away with Arimi then to You then to Ginta then back to You....
